Dear Friends and Fellow Aquarists,
On behalf of the 2008 Committee and C.A.D.A.S. members, I would like to offer you a very warm welcome to our 38th Annual Open Show, which will be held on Sunday 11th May at Stephenson’s Way Community Centre, Corby.
Since the last show, the membership has steadily grown within the society, and all the new members are looking forward to participating, keeping this long standing show on the map.
Thank you to all our sponsors, too many to mention, but they do appear in the show schedule. Also to the F.B.A.S. Judges who will be in attendance.
Once again, incorporated in the show this year will also be:
MIDLAND BETTA SPLENDENS OPEN SHOW
MIDLAND AREA GUPPY SHOW
MIDLAND AREA ANGEL SHOW
We have separate trophies for these classes which may be retained by the Class winner for 1 year.
The trophy for BEST IN SHOW is the
JIM SHORT MEMORIAL TROPHY
I would like to offer special thanks to all the members who have devoted their spare time, blood, sweat and tears, into making this show an ongoing success, to the Staff at the community centre for their help on both the Saturday and Sunday, and all our sponsors for the show, through the FBAS and from the trade. Last but not least, thank you to Bruce, our Webmaster, for the excellent presentation of the 2006 Show on the Website.
We look forward to seeing you all, either as an Exhibitor or just a visitor. You will be made more than welcome. Old and New Friends, Experts or Novices, you will all be given a warm reception.
Personally, I look forward to meeting you at the Open Show, and most of all, wish you an enjoyable visit on the day.
Start breeding your fish now and we can have a bumper turnout again this coming year.
Michael Boot, Chairman.

We would like to thank not only the organisers, but all the judges and the inimitable competitors. Without them there would be no show. The local retailers and of course the manufacturers for their help and support, the aquatic trade and the Federation. For fear of missing out one of the bigger contributors or upsetting anyone for that matter, by missing them out of the list, we hope to avoid this predicament by not naming names, but simply thanking you all very, very much. We do appreciate what you do, or have done to help us make this another successful show, which we are confident it will be.
David A. Page President.
